Aimesoft will process your personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws and any laws that amend or replace them in the future. We pledge to manage our websites to be safe and enjoyable for you by diligently pursuing the prevention of unauthorized use, disclosure, modification, etc. of personal data about you.
In this privacy policy (this “Policy”), we provide information based on the laws related to processing your personal data. This Policy sets out the basis upon which we will process any personal data that you provide to us, or that we obtain about you from other sources through our website. Please take the time to read and understand this Policy.
Some categories of processing of personal data may be subject to more specific policies. In such cases, those specific policies shall supersede this Privacy Policy to the extent that the clauses set forth in those specific policies contradict the clauses set forth in this Privacy Policy.
Legal Basis for and Purpose of Processing Personal Data
We will process your personal data on the following legal bases unless such data processing will not conflict with applicable laws and regulations:
Purpose of Sharing
We may share your personal data with the following categories of recipients.
Affiliates. We share your personal data with our affiliates for internal administrative purposes and for uses that are consistent with this Policy.
Data Sharing under Japanese Law
In accordance with Japanese law, we may share personal information among us and our affiliates in the framework of data sharing under the Act on Protection of Personal Information in Japan, the details of which are specified as follows.
Our AimeFace library processes facial image data for facial recognition and identity verification purposes. When the AimeFace SDK is used in iOS and Android apps, facial image data is processed entirely locally and is not uploaded to our servers. For server authentication, only facial feature vectors (numerical representations of facial image data) are uploaded to and stored on our servers.
These facial feature vectors are derived from facial images using a one-way encryption method, ensuring that they cannot be reverse-engineered into facial images. The use of feature vectors enables the determination of similarity between facial images, facilitating facial authentication.
Our AimeHealth iOS and Android apps use the AimeFace SDK in the manner described above, extracting only feature vectors from facial images to be stored on servers, without retaining the facial images themselves. When a user deletes their account from the AimeHealth app, the facial feature vectors and other user information are permanently removed from our servers.
We do not share facial data or facial feature vectors with any third parties.
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post the updated Privacy Policy with a “Last Updated” effective date for the revisions. We recommend that you review this Privacy Policy periodically. If we make a material change to this Privacy Policy, you will be provided with appropriate notice, such as a notice posted on a website.
